Pack FAQ

Can I add these packs at any time, or do I need to wait for renewal?

You can add packs at any time. If you identify a new requirement – such as a need for Disaster Recovery assurance or AI Enablement – we can enable the pack mid-contract. Charges are pro-rated for the first month, and the service will simply be added to your regular monthly invoice.

Are these packs included in the Standard or Premium support tiers?

These are optional extensions designed to add specialised functionality beyond the core ITaaS service. However, some packs may have prerequisites; for example, the Data Governance (Core) pack requires the Premium Support Tier. Additionally, Premium Support customers receive an allowance of advisory time that can be used to discuss these technologies.

Do I need to buy extra software licenses for these packs?

In most cases, the management license required for MTG to deliver the service is included in the pack price. However, user-based licensing from Microsoft (such as Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses) is billed separately under your software subscription.

What is the difference between M365 Backup and Email Archiving?

M365 Backup is designed for recovery; it takes multiple snapshots daily of your emails, files, and Teams chats to protect against accidental deletion or ransomware. Email Archiving is designed for compliance; it retains a searchable history of email communications for legal or regulatory retention, ensuring data is preserved indefinitely even if a mailbox is deleted.

Is the Disaster Recovery (DR) pack different from standard backups?

Yes. Standard backups ensure your data is safe, but they don’t guarantee how quickly you can get back up and running. The Disaster Recovery Assurance pack includes an optional immutable (tamper-proof) copy of your data, a maintained “Run-Book” (a step-by-step recovery plan), and – crucially – a regular test restore where we actually prove we can recover your servers

I want full security remediation. Can I add MDR Complete to my Standard Support plan?

No. MDR Complete is exclusively available to customers on the Premium Support Tier.
This is because MDR Complete provides 24×7 active threat hunting and hands-on remediation, where the Security Operations Center (SOC) actively neutralises threats on your behalf rather than just alerting you. To deliver this level of “eyes-on-glass” protection around the clock, it must be paired with the 24×7 critical incident response coverage that is only included in the Premium tier

Add-On Packs – Pricing Structure

Flexible, Modular Billing Our Add-On Packs are designed to be modular, allowing you to add advanced capabilities only where you need them. Just like our core ITaaS model, these are itemised clearly on your monthly invoice, ensuring you never pay for features you don’t use.

Per User: Productivity and user-centric security modules – including AI Enablement, M365 Backup, Cloud Printing, Email Signatures, and ZTNA – are billed simply based on the number of users enrolled in that specific service.

Per Resource: Infrastructure protections are billed based on the specific asset being secured. This applies to Disaster Recovery Assurance (Per Server) , Email Archiving (Per Mailbox) , and DMARC Anti-Spoofing (Per Domain).

Per Tenant or Environment: Organisation-wide compliance and security tools, such as Data Governance and Automated Penetration Testing, are billed as a single monthly service charge for the environment or tenant being monitored.

Setup & Onboarding: Advanced modules requiring significant architectural configuration – such as Data Governance, Disaster Recovery, or Penetration Testing – may incur a separate, transparent one-off setup fee to cover initial onboarding and policy design.
